A Mustard Seed of Faith

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about the verse “Trust in the Lord with all your heart.” Finding it in a remote place reminded me that even a small expression of faith could have big results. It reminded me of the parable of the mustard seed of faith.

Building Your Life on the Solid Rock

I was recently reminded of the verses about building your life on the solid rock or “sinking sand.” Building our lives on the solid rock foundation of Jesus allows us to weather the storms of life. We find Jesus speaking about building your life on the solid rock in Matthew 7:24-27.

The Last Supper Communion

I’ve been contemplating how Jesus instituted the Last Supper Communion. I was raised in a church that celebrated communion every week.  A deep solemnness was instilled in me regarding celebrating communion. It was a time for reflection- of ourselves and Jesus’ sacrifice.

The Promised Messiah

As I was doing some reading in Mark, I came across the title of one of the chapters as “Jesus Predicts His Death the Third Time.” Hmmm. Three times. So I went back and looked at the other two predictions. That started me thinking about why it was so hard for the disciples to …
